Jack W. Berry Sr. passed away in his Maumee home, during the wee hours of Sunday morning, April 28, 2024, with all his children very nearby and vigilantly taking turns looking in on him. He fought a long and hard battle with renal failure, but did it on his terms, having made the decision to forgo dialysis, and to let go and let God. And God decided to take our Dad home exactly six months to the day that He took our Mom home. So, our beloved parents are rejoicing in each other’s arms once again.

David L. Beck passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on April 1, 2024. He lived a full, productive and happy life for almost 88 years with his wife, Janet (Rupp), by his side for 65 of those years. He was a wonderful man and an eternal jokester with a wicked sense of humor.

Kevin Robert Kervin, age 70, died April 29, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He grew up in Perrysburg and most recently lived in Waterville.

•RICHARD VALERIAN GWOZDZ December 16, 1933 - May 6, 2024 Richard Valerian Gwozdz, 90 years old, left his earthly home peacefully on the morning of Monday, May 6, 2024, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Ray Runge in Houston, Texas. Richard was born at home on Oak Street in Rossford, to Valerian and Helen (Knurek) Gwozdz.

Wendy (Weston) Held, 62, passed away May 11, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and close friends during her last days. Wendy was born May 26, 1961, to Pete and Barbara (Brell) Weston. She grew up in Perrysburg and attended St. Rose for elementary school and McAuley High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Dayton.

John T. Whitescarver, age 93, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, with his loving wife Mary by his side.

Eileen F. (Haas) Reid, age 93, of Perrysburg, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Eileen was the eighth child out of 11 born in Perrysburg to John V. and Helen C. (Hertzfeld) Haas.

David (Dave) Allen Saunders of Perrysburg passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, on Tuesday, April 16, after a brief illness. Dave was born in Toledo on February 10, 1931, to Lois (Long) and well-known serial comic strip writer and cartoonist Allen Saunders.

Richard Benjamin Johnson, 81, of Delaware, Ohio, (and formerly of Perrysburg) returned to spirit peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

Terry C. Eckel, age 77, of Perrysburg, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
