Michael Charles Blakely, age 72, of Perrysburg, passed away on August 18, 2026. He was born on May 31, 1954, in Toledo, to parents Richard and Janien Blakely. He married Cheryl Clarkson in 1978, and together they shared 48 years of marriage.

Eight years after graduating from the University of Toledo, he and his business partner started Transnet, Inc., where he worked for the remainder of his career.

Mike enjoyed hunting, golfing and spending time at his remote cabin in the woods.

He is survived by wife, Cheryl; sons, Joe and Dan, and brothers, Tom, Doug and Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.

A visitation was held at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 South Reynolds Road, Toledo, on August 24. The funeral took place August 25, in the funeral home.
