Our beloved mom, Sarah Ludick Turner, passed away peacefully and was received into Heaven on an uncharacteristically warm and sunny evening in March, five days before her 55th birthday. She was a skilled baker, a talented writer and a treasured art teacher, but more than anything, she was the best and most fiercely dedicated mom in the entire world. She felt that being a mother was truly her vocation. She was cherished by everyone around her: parents, siblings, cousins, friends, students and especially by her six children.

A caring and friendly conversationalist, she lived an amazing life blessed by three equally amazing children, Scott Spitler (Katherine), Overland Park, Kansas; Steve Spitler (Julie), Milford, Ohio, and Shelley Spitler Merz, Dyer, Indiana.

Larry Joseph Rogers, 61, of Toledo, passed away on January 27, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with his mother by his side. He was born on June 21, 1962 to the late Laurence “Larry” and Mary (Schwind) Rogers of Perrysburg.

Kathleen Turner, 95, died February 17, 2024, in her residence. Previously of Perrysburg, she was living in Johnstown, Ohio, at the time of her death.

Robin Ann Eckel, 62, of Perrysburg, died in her home on February 15, 2024. She was born in Toledo on April 26, 1961, to Robert and Roberta (Reinbolt) Spanfellner. She was a 1979 graduate of McAuley High School and pursued a 30-plus year nursing career after attending Mercy School of Nursing. Robin married her high school sweetheart on August 9, 1986, and together they raised three children. She enjoyed animals, boating, camping, canning and gardening.

Mary Jean Turain passed peacefully at home February 10, 2024. Mary was born to Marguerite (Loserth) and Fred Zurmuehlen, of Burlington, Iowa, on December 1, 1934. Mary earned a B.A.

Rita Rose Rehard, 92, of Perrysburg, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Manor of Perrysburg. Rita was born December 23, 1931, in Toledo, to Dominic and Regina (Tafelski) Szymanowski. She was married to John Rehard until his passing in 1992.

Julie Anne Hutchison, 66, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 16. She was surrounded by her son, Jim Hutchison, and lifelong friend and caregiver, Amey Raihala.

BETTY L. HENRY

Betty L. Henry, 94, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born July 29, 1929, in Perrysburg, to Ralph and Edna (Hahn) Artz. Betty graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1947. She married Gerald E. Henry on November 4, 1950, and together they raised three daughters until his death in 1997.

IMOGENE LAVERNE GREENE

Imogene Laverne Greene was born to Bertha and Ray Weber on November 30, 1921, in Whitehouse, where she spent much of her young life. Over 102, Imogene has experienced everything from dirt roads and the Great Depression to 25 different U.S. Presidents. As history unfolded with developments like the Empire State Building, the auto industry and various wars, Imogene became a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and even a great-great-greatgrandmother. She married her beloved husband, Kenneth, in 1937, with whom she shared 42 years, until his death in 1979. The birth of her daughters spanned from an at-home birth to modern hospital births. She led a simple life centered around her love of family, friends, travels, Sunday rides and Bingo.
