Angelina (Angie) Michelle Tammarine, age 55, peacefully graduated into heaven on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, following a brief hospitalization admission at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC). She was surrounded by family and friends during her complete hospital stay and at the time of her death.

Angie was born on December 15, 1966, to the late Consuelo and Frank Tammarine. She was a devoted, loving and caring daughter, sister, friend, aunt and foster mom to Geronimo.

Angie was truly a servant of God. She had a unique and wondrous calling from God every day of her life. Angie was God’s handiwork. She did good works for all who knew her, whether it was a prayer needed, a phone call conversation, a text message, sharing a meal together or leading others to God. Whatever it was, Angie was created to participate in God’s divine activities.

Angie’s life story and song was to praise her savior all day long. She was a devoted daughter of God, and lived for Jesus in words and deeds. Family and friends were always a primary concern to Angie. She gave to all who knew her the greatest gift available in life; the knowledge of how to acquire a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to obtain peace of mind, victory in the midst and eternal life. She encouraged everyone she knew to humbly guide themselves through the teachings of the Bible to develop a faith and knowledge that rests on the hope of the Lord, which God promised before the beginning of time.

Volunteering at church and being an active member of her Grounded in Christ Thursday women’s group, her Renew and Rejoice group, and many other Bible study groups was where Angie got her inspiration to live the life she did. She treated everyone as a friend and as an equal, with a special place in her heart for those on the margins of life. Her professional careers also extended into focusing on helping those in need. She was a “once in a lifetime” kind of woman to all she met. She will always be a part of all who knew her and she will never leave us. No memories can ever be erased; she will remain in all of us and carried in our hearts, the undercurrent of our thoughts, and the inspiration of our days. She will walk beside us, still loved, still missed, and forever dear to our hearts and souls. Her smiles, spirit, loving hugs and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

A very special “thank you” to Pastor Grace, who guided Angie on her Christian walk of faith and who Angie also admired as a woman of God, and who was one of Angie’s dearest of friends. Thank you also to Julie, who Angie referred to as “Sis.” The compassion Angie received from Julie was none other than true and sincere love. A special thank you to her niece, Becky, who was Angie’s “side kick and partner in crime.” Angie could not have gotten through her days without you. Lastly, a special thank you to her sister, Rosie, for being the big sister and always guiding Angie through life as only a sister can do. The daily phone calls, luncheons and spending time together will truly be missed.

The family also wishes to thank the wonderful hospital staff at UTMC who touched all of our lives. Your kindness and never ending comfort care is very much appreciated.

Angie was the youngest sister of 17 children. She is survived by sisters, Rosie, Lucy, Dora, Tina, Paula, Diane, Rita, and brothers, Tony, Matt, Danny, Rocky, Chris and Joe, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by sister, Mary, and brothers, Noel and Mike.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 8, at 10:30 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 601 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg, followed by an internment of ashes at St. Rose Cemetery, where Angie will be laid to rest next to her mother, Consuelo. All are invited to return to Grace Church for a luncheon.

Any memorial contributions can be made in Angie’s honor to Grace United Methodist Church.
