1941 – 2021
Richard “Rick” Ray Brown, 79, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, on July 18, 1942, to Ray and Jeanne (Brink) Brown.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia “Ginger” Brown; daughters, Molly (Kirk) Hallett and Karin (Scott) Moll, and grandsons, Thomas and Charles “Charlie” Hallett. Richard also is survived by his older brother, Robert (Ruthie) Brown, many nieces and some nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard “Marshall” Brown; his younger brother, Timothy (Trisha) Brown; nephew, Ted “Teddy” Brown, and his parents.
Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was known and will be remembered as a loving, resourceful, knowledgeable, strong and funny man who loved his dogs.
He worked at Toledo Trust Corp and later became vice president of commercial loans at the Toledo Huntington Bank. He served on numerous boards: the Ability Center, Vestry at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Carranor Hunt and Polo Club and Black Swamp Conservatory. He graduated from the University of Michigan and has been a huge U of M football fan since. Go Blue!
A service will be held at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg, on October 30. Family will receive guests at 10 a.m., with the Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m.
