Richard Gordon Sinclair, loving husband, father and papa, passed away at the age of 74, surrounded by his small but mighty family, on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Richard was born on May 14, 1947, in Evanston, Illinois, to James and Barbara Sinclair. Richard graduated from Glenbrook High School and went on to study economics at Northern Michigan University and the University of South Carolina. Richard was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch for nearly 30 years. On January 6, 1978, he married Ann and together they raised two daughters, Christy and Mandy, in Perrysburg.

Richard was above all a wonderful papa to his six ∏ grandchildren, whom he adored. He spent much of the last 14 years providing invaluable support to his daughters and encouraging his grandchildren to work hard and dream big. He spent countless hours with his grandkids reading, golfing, learning new things, swimming, traveling, gardening and enjoying music.

Richard was a natural coach and teacher, and his grandkids were, and continue to be, very eager students. He will be remembered for his great advice, his Cookie Monster impersonation, his magic car, his thoughtful gifts (including time and attention), his constant encouragement, his fight and determination, his strong opinions, his love of coupons and saving money, and his endless love for and devotion to his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Ann; his daughters, Christy (Corey) Kessler and Mandy (Steve) Sinclair-Nitschke, and his beloved grandchildren, Claire, Cecily, Annie, Cammie, Stevie and Corey.

A private family memorial is planned. Memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Nature Conservancy (preserve.nature.org/ page/81523/donate/1). ∏
