Donald Karl Schmidt, 81, of Russel’s Point, Ohio, passed away on February 15, 2023, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Donald (Donnie) was born in Van Dyke, Michigan, to Peter and Christina, on October 27, 1941.

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, John Earl Piatt Sr., of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. John was born March 12, 1935, to Earl and Ruby Piatt. He was 87 years old.

Everett J. Wells, age 71, of Perrysburg, passed away on February 9, 2023, following an 18-month battle with cancer. Everett was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 1951. He attended Le Tourneau University and Greensburg Institute of Technology. He worked as a field service technician for Avery Dennison for 43 years.

Born in Manistique, Michigan, August 10, 1958, to Raymond and Constance Wilcox, Fawnda Lynn Scott (Wilcox) of Perrysburg passed away Sunday evening, February 5, 2023. As a child she was very creative and ambitious.

Christopher “Chris” Meyers, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Chris was born in Toledo, to Lois (Melka) and Clifford Meyers.

David A. Reid, age 60, of Luckey, passed away on February 1, 2023, at Flower Hospital.

Shirley Ann Elizabeth (Sandlin) Gelacek, age 84, from Rossford, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Shirley was born July 21, 1938, in Crystal City, Missouri, to Sara Inez Elizabeth (Null) Sandlin and Ira Elvest Sandlin.

James Arthur Haas, 92, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at Mercy Health Perrysburg Hospital. Jim was born April 21, 1930, in Weston, Ohio, to John and June (Shumaker) Haas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University. Jim married Helen Sherman on July 22, 1979, and they shared 43 years together.

Nancy Ann Smithers, 85, of Perrysburg, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Walton County, Florida. Nancy was born July 5, 1937, in Toledo, to Sylvester and Ethel (Hahn) Walker. She married Paul C. Smithers on July 12, 1958, at Zoar Lutheran Church.
