Johanna Marie Libbe, 99, of Perrysburg (formerly of Pemberville), was called home by her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Kingston Senior Living of Perrysburg. She was born on December 20, 1926, in Bowling Green, to John C. and Alice (Hummel) Aring. Johanna married William H. Libbe on May 26, 1948, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Rochester, Ohio. Jo and Bill were blessed with two sons and celebrated more than 69 years of marriage prior to Bill’s passing in November of 2017.

In addition to being a homemaker and mother, Jo also kept the books for their family business and was a meticulous, hard working farm wife. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Rochester where her ministries included the women’s circle, assisting families with funeral lunches and much more. Jo also was a longtime member of Wood County Homemakers. She enjoyed crafts, games, cooking and baking. Her family will cherish what an incredible cook she was, hosting multiple dinners for family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Jo is survived by her sons, Scott (Robin) Libbe of Perrysburg, and Kent (Sue) Libbe of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Allison (John) Mackewich, Meredith (Michael) Kroger, Brecken (Ryan) Price, Heather Libbe and David Libbe; greatgrandchildren, Tate and Libbe Mackewich, Cassidy and Jackson Kroger and Blakely and Taylor Price. In addition to her husband, Bill, Jo was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ken Aring; sister, Winnie Gallenstein, and great- granddaughter, Kennedy Kroger.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the caregivers at both Kingston Senior Living and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, May 8, with a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Marsh and Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville. Burial will follow at Pemberville Union Cemetery. Pastor Melanie Haack will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
