April 13 Traffic violations, North Dixie Highway at Cross Creek Road; alarm, 16300 block West River Road; lift assist, 13300 block Five Point Road; ill/sick person, 14500 block Lake Meadows Drive; cardiac/chest pain, 15700 block Five Point Road.

Notice to Cut Weeds and Grass on: *Residential Property *Lots Under Construction

This is to notify the owners of property in the corporate limits of the City of Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio, that in accordance with Section 660.14 and 1026.01 of the City Codified Ordinances, all noxious weeds and grass growing on lands within the City shall be cut and destroyed prior to May 8, 2024. Failure to comply will result in the performance of this work by the City of Perrysburg, and the owners of the property affected will be billed for the cost of the work. If said billing is not paid, it will then be certified by the city clerk to the tax duplicate book as an assessment against the property. The minimum charge is $100.00 for one hour or any part thereof. Each additional hour, or any part thereof, will be charged at the rate of $75.00 per hour.

The Friends of the Wood County Parks will host a native plant sale on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Wood County Fairgrounds, Champion Building, 13800 West Poe Road, Bowling Green.

Applications are open for Habitat for Humanity homes in Wood County

Habitat for Humanity of Wood County, Inc. plans to build homes in Bradner, Rossford, Walbridge and Wayne. Persons interested in applying for Habitat’s Homeownership Program are encouraged to apply at its website, wchabitat.org. “Many people do not realize that they are eligible for a Habitat for Humanity home,” said Mark Ohashi, executive director, Habitat for Humanity of Wood County, Inc. “Our criteria make homeownership a real possibility for many people.”
