Perrysburg residents named to student-athlete honor roll

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced the recipients of the 2022-23 MIAA Honor Roll. In total, 273 student-athletes at Trine University were recognized by the MIAA for the year, the most out of any school in the league.

Mcfarlane on spring dean’s list at UMGC

Ian Mcfarlane, of Perrysburg, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term while earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Non profit organizer found guilty of multiple charges

On August 11, a Wood County jury convicted a local non profit organizer on multiple charges. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson said the case was successfully prosecuted against Linda Greene, 72, the former CEO of the international charity organization Impact with Hope, formerly ISOH/IMPACT.

HOOVES to hold family event Aug. 26

HOOVES, a private, donor-supported charity, is hosting a family event from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, August 26, at their facility, 4055 Wilkins Road, Swanton. The family event features a free open house with a donation per vehicle encouraged.
