Rita Mae Klar, daughter of Helen Shiple and Leonard Magrum, age 89, of Five Point Road, Perrysburg, died February 22, 2025. Rita Mae grew up on the family farm on Five Point Road and graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1954. She was employed by Alterations Express Plus in Perrysburg since 1992 and retired from there in 2004. She did alterations in her home since. She was a member of the Waterville American Legion Auxiliary and the Maumee American Legion.

Her husband, Kenneth,

preceded her in death in 1992. Surviving are her sons, Daniel, Martin, Jerry, Aaron (Margaret) and Kenny; daughter, Annette (Jerry Rogers); grandchildren, Amanda Kleindienst, Rachael (Josh Hamacher), Benjamin (Desi) Rogers, Teresa (Jonnathan Shampine) and Ryan; eight great-grandchildren, and sisters, Fran (Don Rotherbuhler) and Judy Williams. She was preceded in death by brothers, Buck and Chick Magrum, and sisters, Terry Babcock, Mary Worchuch, Pat Weis and Susie Hagen.

Friends may call at Maison- Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, on Saturday, March 1, from 9 a.m., until the time of the family-led service at 9:30. A procession to church will follow and a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Elm Street, Perrysburg. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens on River Road in Waterville.
