December 17,1941

-March 17,2026.

Nancy Jane (Wilcox) Wallace passed from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 17, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.

Adored by everyone who knew her, Nancy passionately loved her family, friends and Jesus. She was truly a joy to be around (except occasionally when she was losing a card game). With a bright smile and an unforgettable laugh, she faithfully served her family and Jesus, ministering to many throughout her life. She was a listener, and, with practicality and a touch of dry humor, was the go-to person her loved ones relied on to help make things right in their world.

Born on December 17, 1941, in New Roads, Louisiana, she mostly grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City High School. Nancy studied education, but left college when she met her first husband and went on to become a soughtafter hairdresser. Her passion for teaching remained with her throughout her life, and she led many Bible studies and Christian groups over the years.

She married the love of her life, Lee Wallace, in OKC, on October 12, 1971, and moved to Toledo, the next day. Lee adopted her sons, Scott and Brent, and made them his own. The family moved frequently for Lee’s work, living in Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania, before finally settling in Perrysburg, from 1978 to 2016. There, they finished raising their boys and formed many cherished friendships. After retiring, Nancy and Lee moved back home to Oklahoma in 2016 to be closer to family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Wallace; her sister and best friend, Judith Henthorn, and her parents, Thomas and Thelma Wilcox. She is survived by her sons, Scott (Tahlee) Wallace and Brent (Pamela) Wallace; stepsons, John (Carly) Lindsey and Chad (Brooke) Lindsey; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Maerzke, Sabrina (Emerson) Oden, Mitchel (Maddy) Wallace and Kelsey (Robert) Wallace; Jared, Jace, Cooper and Charley Lindsey; brother and sisterin- law, John and Karen Wallace; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Lillian and Noah Maerzke, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at Acts II Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, on June 26, and graveside services on June 27, at 10 a.m., where her and Lee’s ashes will be buried together.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Nancy’s favorite charity, wounded warriorproject.org.
