Darl Wayne Spitler, age 78, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Darl was born on May 4, 1944, in Willard, Ohio, to Ralph and Doris (Bollinger) Spitler.

Darl was a 1962 graduate of Perrysburg High School. After graduation, he attended Stautzenberger Business College, Toledo, where he met his first wife, Rosemary. Darl served honorably in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. After military service, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier until retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his loving children, Michelle and Brian (Melinda); grandchildren, Mitchell, Braelyn and Alexei; sisters, Patricia and Jane (Frank); brother, John (Sally); sisters-in-law, Gloria and Carla Spitler, and Aunt Cleona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Ralph, and his brothers, Carl and Ron.

A graveside service with military honors will be on Thursday, April 13, at 2 p.m., in the Attica Venice Cemetery, Attica, Ohio.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Hanneman Funeral Home, Attica.
