Ronald William Bierly, 84, passed away in his home on August 30, 2025. Ron was a Perrysburg High School Class of 1960 graduate and long-time resident of Defiance. On December 21,

1970, he married the love of his life Diane (Beardsley) Bierly.

Through the years they welcomed four daughters, Shawn (Joe) Barrera, Defiance; Heather (Kevin) Browns, Defiance; Amber Collins, Defiance, and Autumn Winkler, Sherwood, Ohio. They were blessed in life with a bonus daughter, Jessica (Bill) Barrera, of Pandora, Ohio.

Ron was a long-time supervisor of Johns Manville, where he was lovingly known as Abe. After retirement, he was a salesman and tech for Barton Lake RV, where many family gatherings were enjoyed by all. Through the years, Ron, Diane and various family and friends enjoyed traveling to the Great West, with favorite destinations being Yellowstone and beautiful Montana. Ron greatly enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, family get-togethers and watching his children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and experience life.

In December, Ron and Diane would have celebrated 55 years of marriage. Ron also is survived by his daughters, and his sisters, Robin (Perry) King, Perrysburg; Karen (Gary) Chapman, Perrysburg, and Sherry (Wayne) Hoffman, Mt Gilead, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Betty (Buhler) Bierly.

Visitation was held September 3, at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel, in Defiance.
