Robert “Bob” Lelon Siler, age 73, of Perrysburg, passed away on January 15, 2024.

He was born to Robert Milton and Doris (Leach) Siler on February 8, 1950, in Whitley County, Kentucky. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968-1972. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo and spent his career working for Chrysler Jeep for 33 years until his retirement. Bob loved music and was a selftaught musician who played several instruments including the guitar, banjo, piano and harmonica. He loved to play music, sang at many family reunions and was in a men’s quartet at his church.

Bob was a very friendly and kind individual who saw the best in people. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and challenging riddles. He did crossword puzzles daily and was an avid speller, who loved a good game of Scrabble.

He was a member of Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Church, where he served as a board member for many years. He was very proud of his mission work, where he was able to use his engineering knowledge to bring fresh water to communities.

Bob married Deborah Claire Roberts Siler in 2013 and they were happily married for six years. They traveled to Italy, France, Montreal and Hawaii, and enjoyed a wonderful cruise to the Caribbean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Milton and Doris E. Siler; wife, Debbie Siler; two brothers-inlaw, Melvin Peter Jurski and David Harper; nephew, Melvin “Skip” Jurski, and a granddaughter, Athena Lynn-Monroe Siler.

He is survived by his children, Rob Siler, Kim (Emmanuel Djobi), Carol (Joel Freeman), Jessica Siler and Joseph Siler; grandchildren, Ryan Siler, Cassandra Siler, Jahziera Powell-Siler, Sage (James) Van Sant, Raven Freeman, Eve Freeman, Lex Freeman, Liv, Dakota (Angela) Woodbury, Jackson Everett, Jonathan Everett and Aubre Siler; siblings, Sharron Jurski, Nan (Lynn) Stapleton, Pat Harper, Penni (Ron) Davenport, Tammy (Dan) Kenber, Steve (Nikki) Siler; as well as several nieces and nephews he loved very much.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 South Reynolds Road, on Wednesday, January 24, from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon. Interment following at Riverside Cemetery.
