Paul William “Bill” Gail, 75, of Perrysburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Bill was born October 12, 1949, in Athens, Ohio, to Richard and Joan (McClelland) Gail. He graduated from Glouster High School, where he was a standout basketball star and attended Ohio University.

He is survived by his son, Chris (Kasey) Gail; grandson, Liam; brothers, Bob (Robin), Dick (Marty), Curt (Sharon); his nieces and nephews, and ex-wife, Debra Gail. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Caroyl Gail.

Bill was a store manager for the Kroger Co. for more than 40 years, where he earned many awards and was an extremely dedicated employee. He then became a real estate agent for Re/Max Masters in Perrysburg. He spent his time focused on all his grandsons’ activities, from hockey to football to scouting. He spent most of his time enjoying Liam’s games, watching OSU football and basketball, and going for ice cream trips with his grandson. Liam and Grandpa spent hours watching movies, gardening and discussing any number of topics while visiting the small towns of northwest Ohio. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be private, and burial will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville, Ohio. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg. Condolences may be made to online to the family at walk erfuneralhomes.com.
