be remembered as a cherished and beloved presence in the lives of all who knew her.
Nikki had a deep love for dogs, and she and her husband made it a priority to adopt from the shelter—an enduring reflection of the care she so naturally extended to those around her. She also found great enjoyment in classic films, British television shows and sciencefiction novels; her knowledge and recall of actors and plot lines was legendary.
Everyone who knew Nikki realized instantly she had a keen mind, in particular as it related to math and technology. She utilized her bachelor of science in mathematics in her career building databases for clients at the highest level of the government, while also acting as tech support for numerous friends and family. Many, especially her husband, would have been lost without her.

Nikki is survived by her loving husband, Tom Starkey; sister, Jana Lange (Fred); nephew, Patrick Lange; two grand-nephews, Teddy and Archie, as well as her dog, Soda, and the many friends she has made.
