Mark Rood of Columbus, Ohio, passed away in International Falls, Minnesota, in January 2026. Mark was born in Columbus, on January 22, 1960 to John and Priscilla Rood.

Mark graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1978.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, John. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, mother, Priscilla; daughter, Kaitlyn (Joshua), brothers, John (Jenny) and Jared (Bonnie), and sister, Leslie (Andrew).

Mark’s passions were tennis and music. He was a gifted tennis player and gave lessons in his youth. He was a very talented musician as well. He performed in many bands over the years. He started playing guitar in a high school friend’s garage. His last performance was with Night Force in Columbus.

Mark will be missed by his family who wish to celebrate his life privately.
