Lynne Moffett, May 9, 1934 to July 14, 2023, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side. A Perrysburg High School, University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University graduate, Lynne spent her career teaching handicapped preschoolers

and kindergartners. She met Johnny, the love of her life, in mid-life, and literally lived happily ever after.

Famously passionate about gardening, Lynne always exceeded her plant budget by at least several hundred dollars. Her ‘secret’ ingredient was Bumper Crop organic soil builder, which made her flower beds the talk of the neighborhood. Even when she could no longer do the planting herself, she sent her wonderful assistant, Krissy, on numerous trips to Hoen’s Garden Center, and took pleasure in watching her gardens grow from the window.

Lynne and Johnny traveled extensively, from Barcelona and Capri to the Scottish Highlands, as well as many trips to Mexico. They even did a cycling tour of France. They also enjoyed tent camping, although, during one of their adventures, Lynne got poison ivy in an area that’s better left unsaid.

Another of Lynne’s passions was entertaining friends. She happily spent weeks planning the menus, and cooking tasty meals. Her favorite parties were the ones in which son-in-law, Duddy, and his band, played out on her dock. Neighbors would often drop anchor just off shore and enjoy the free concert from their boats.

Lynne is predeceased by her loving husband, Johnny. She is survived by her son, Troy (Stella) Melot; daughter, Kelly (Dudley) Yetter; brother, Ted and his wife, Fran; worth-her-weight-ingold assistant, Krissy McArthur, and a huge gang of friends that spanned decades and continents. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
