Linda Pavia, 70, of Harsens Island, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Born June 13, 1950, to Dale and Geraldine (Myers) Kuhlman in Toledo, she was raised in Perrysburg. Linda graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1968. She was a member of marching band, concert band and a majorette during her high school years.

Linda graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1972, with a bachelor of arts degree in home economics. She then taught in the Clyde-Green Springs School District. Most recently she worked at MORC (Macomb-Oakland Regional Center).

On August 3, 1996, she married Francis “Frank” Pavia. During their 21-year marriage, they enjoyed boating, trips to their Florida home and gatherings with family and friends. Linda was an accomplished musician; she was an expert flute player, pianist and organist. She was the alternate organist ∏ of Our Lady on the River Parish St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Harsens Island, where she was a long-time member. She also was the winter organist at St. Paul’s Protestant Church on the island.

Among her other talents, Linda was an avid crafter, which included sewing, crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Reader’s Cove Library and the St. Clair Community Singers.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother-in-law, Thomas Bosl, Linda is survived by her sisters, Carol (William) Overmyer and Debra Bosl; step-children, Joe (Rachel Chambers) Pavia and Jennifer (Tim) Burd; step-grandchildren, Joey Pavia Jr., Tyler Burd and Madeline Burd; nieces, Amy (Ryan Landi) Overmyer and Emily (David) Spooner; nephews, Kurt Overmyer and Kevin (Taylor) Bosl, and dear friends, Barbara and Dan Persyn.

Burial was in the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. A celebration of life was held August 28, 2021, in the Reader’s Cove Library, Harsens Island, Michigan. Arrangements were handled by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, Michigan, gilbert funeralhomeinc.com
