Kevin Robert Kervin, age 70, died April 29, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He grew up in Perrysburg and most recently lived in Waterville.
Kevin had a lifelong passion for automobiles, that started as a painter with American Customs in Sylvania. Kevin attended Perrysburg and then Penta County Vocational School, where he won the state championship for auto body repair in 1972. He then worked with his uncle, Rich Seiling, at Seiling Electric and then the City of Perrysburg, as an electrician. Kevin loved seeing all his friends at Churchill’s Market, Way Library and was seen throughout the community at weekly car shows or wherever else his “Old Sally” would take him. Kevin could always make a friend the first time meeting them.
There was one dear friend, Dianne Hamizadeh, who helped get him to appointments, to lunch or just on an evening walk. During the last few years, Kevin had taken ill and been on dialysis.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his son, Zach; step-sons, Nickos and Andreos (AJ) Kaplanov, and exwife, Rebecca Kervin. He blazed a path for his younger siblings, Michael (Deb), Beth Laine (Pete), Bob (Jane), Dan (Beth) and Patty Kummerer (Mike).
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 26, at 11 .m., at the Schaller Memorial Building, 130 West Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be considered to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
As Kevin would say, we wish him “Happy Trails.”
