Kathleen “Kathy” M. Tansey, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2022, in her Perrysburg home. She was born December 2, 1946, in Lakewood, Ohio, to James J. and Helen A. (Sabol) Poskocil.

Kathy earned her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Lourdes College in 2008.

She spent much of her working career in health care, and was an active member of her church serving in various roles. She found reward in helping other people, providing activities, cooking and sharing a love of art with her clients and friends. Most recently she had been enjoying giving art lessons to a friend’s grandchildren. In the past few months, she was employed with CDS (Costco). She was proud of her mission work during hur-ricane Katrina, and her pilgrimages to Israel and Russia. She loved cooking, trying new recipes and watching cooking shows.

Her passions were her faith, her art, her grandchildren, and traveling when she could.

She is survived by her sons, Jason W. (Denise) Tansey and Aaron M.

Tansey; grandchildren, Madison, Malorie and Maxwell Tansey, Kiki and Gavin Coulson-Tansey; siblings, James (Linda), Robert (Berta), Allan (Carol), Gary (Dusty), Keith (Jane) Poskocil; Judy (Mark) Pine, Marion Sutphin, Gina (Mark) Sinegar, Amy Wells (Mike), and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Brian Tansey.

Friends and family visited on Friday, January 6, at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 South Reynolds Road, from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.
