Jon William Lee, 88, of Perrysburg, died January 20, 2023. He was born in Martinsville, Indiana, on July 10, 1934, the son of John William Kenneth Lee and Iris (Arnold) Lee.

He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1952 and the General Motors Institute in 1957, with a degree in mechanical engineering.

After working at Allison Corporation and Lockheed Corporation, he began a career at Owens Corning Fiberglas in 1961, that lasted until In addition to being a voracious reader, he had a lifelong love of trains and served many years as a board member of the Union Pacific Historical Society, and he was active in Gateway Church in Findlay.

When he wasn’t working or volunteering, he loved spending time with family, especially on trips to his beloved Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Janice (Coffman) Lee; daughter, Linda (Michael) DeWitt; son, Bret Lee; daughter, Joni (Gregory) North; grandchildren, Brandon and Katherine DeWitt and Jonathan and Christopher North, and great-granddaughter, Zora North.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Iris Lee, and sister, Elizabeth Ann Bingham.

He will be interred at a private family ceremony, but a celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
