David J. Schwind, 74, of Camden, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 1, 2026.
He was born on May 22, 1951, in Toledo, to Harold and Mary (Lisek) Schwind. In July 1972, David married the love of his life, Eileen Perz, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work and shared passions.
David dedicated more than 40 years of his career as an electrician at the First Energy-Toledo Edison. Outside of work, he was an avid fisherman and hunter who cherished the outdoors. He took great joy in passing down his knowledge and love of nature to his grandchildren. David also was known as an excellent cook and a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen; his sons, Eric (Nicole) Schwind and Brandon Schwind; his grandchildren, Dominic and Dane, and his siblings, Gary (Debbie) Schwind, Dennis (Connie) Schwind and Shirley (Keith) Fruchy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 9, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, where a memorial service will begin at 4 p.m.
