Aubrey Eric Arndt, age 80, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on April 21, 2021, in Flower Hospital, Sylvania. He was born June 4, 1940, to Henry and Erna (Hoffman) Arndt, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Following graduation from high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in 1966. On April 23, 1966, he married Joanne C. Rinehart in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Aubrey and Joanne raised three children and celebrated nearly 53 years of marriage before Joanne’s passing in 2019.

For 40-plus years, Aubrey worked for numerous companies throughout the country as a certified public accountant, director of internal audit and chief financial officer before he retired. He was a man of faith and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where his numerous ministries included choir, Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. In addition, he was a member of Buglers Across America and the Perrysburg chapter of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, making custom golf clubs, woodworking, carving and stained-glass artwork. Aubrey is survived by his children, Matt (Tina) Arndt of Sylvania and Karyn (Ron) Juncker of North Carolina; grandchildren, Katrina Arndt, Erika Arndt, Emily Juncker and Molly Juncker; sisters, Avila Hulsey, Arlene Schrade, and brother, Alan (Irene) Arndt. He also leaves behind his golden retriever and K9 pal, Chloe. In addition to his wife, Joanne, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arnold Arndt.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering, 11 a.m. to noon, with a Funeral Mass beginning at noon, Thursday, May 13, at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 East Front Street, Perrysburg. The celebrant will be Fr. Nicholas Weibl, assisted by Deacon Thomas Wray. Committal will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
