Anthony Douglas Parrish, 56, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at Mercy Health-Perrysburg Hospital. He was born in Toledo, on October 22, 1966. Thirty six years later he met and married the love of his life on March 20, 2002.

Tony brought life and love to every room he was in, and with every person he met. He was a friend to all he

knew, but his wife, kids and grandkids were the center of his world. When he wasn’t with them, you could find him working outside, landscaping and cutting down trees for his loyal customers of more than 20 years. He was so light hearted, peaceful, positive and funny, he could always make you laugh even on the worst days. In his free time, Tony enjoyed listening to music, sending his kids funny videos, watching the Rocky movies and Seinfeld reruns, playing euchre and learning how to speak Spanish.

Tony’s death has brought immense loss and sadness to his family. He was the cornerstone, provider and protector, and will forever be missed deeply.

Tony is survived by his wife and best friend, Margaret Parrish; children, Anthony (Nia) Parrish Jr., Jennifer (Dave) Parrish, Jessica (John) Parrish, Jake Sowders, Zachary Snyder and Julie Parrish; grandchildren, Elijah McKinney, Isiah Parrish and Iris Mc-Kinney; siblings, Charlene Parrish, Steven Parrish, Nicole Gordon, Ashley Papenfuss; mother, Carolynn Kirshner; stepfather, Geoffrey Kirshner; stepmother, Pat McCulloch, and motherin- law, Jane Bielecki. He was preceded in death by his father; grandmother and grandfather, and father-inlaw.

Friends were received at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, on Thursday, August 31, from 3 to 7 p.m., with a funeral service at 7 p.m. Memorial donations in Tony’s name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to Mercy Health-Perrysburg Hospital.
