Michelle Orlowski, age 42, passed away on May 16, 2026, at Mercy Health-St. Charles Hospital, surrounded by her loving parents and devoted brother, Kevin, following a short battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Toledo, on May 10, 1984, to Michael and Linda Orlowski. Michelle graduated from Perrysburg High School in 2003 and later earned her bachelor of science degree from Bowling Green State University in 2008.

Michelle was known for her compassionate spirit, kind heart and unwavering dedication to helping others. Throughout her career, she worked with numerous organizations serving children, teens, seniors and individuals with special needs. Her work included positions with Sunshine Inc., Home Instead Senior Care, LHS Youth and Family Services and the YMCA Carrera Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program. Michelle touched countless lives through her care, patience and generosity.

She also devoted much of her time to volunteer work, including service at Vail Meadows, Toledo Area Humane Society, Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio Chapter, Big Brother and Sisters Organization, Relay for Life, Bowling Green University Spring Board Coach, Crim Elementary Reads Program and the Special Olympics. She was always putting the needs of others before her own. Michelle formed lifelong friendships throughout both high school and college and remained closely connected with many dear friends whose lives she deeply impacted.

Michelle was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend who will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Linda Orlowski; her brother, Kevin, and sister-in-law, Nikki Orlowski; and her beloved nephews, Kevin Jr. (KJ), Dylan and Owen Orlowski. She also is survived by her uncles and extended family, including Uncle Ken (Janet) Orlowski, Uncle Milt Mierzejewski and Uncle Gary (Darlitz) Myers, along with many cousins and dear friends.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Milton and Stephanie Mierzejewski, and Casimer and Cecilia Orlowski.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg. A Celebration of Michelle’s Life will be held following the visitation at noon. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the the Susan G. Komen Foundation or a local mental health awareness program of the donor’s choice.

Michelle’s strength, kindness, compassion and dedication to others will remain a lasting gift to everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
