Thomas L. Wood, age 76, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully.

Tom grew up in south Toledo and graduated from Bowsher High School in 1966. He later attended the University of Toledo, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He spent many years working for the United States Postal Service.

He had a special love for his English setters, who brought him endless companionship and happiness over the years.

Tom was a big sports fan, especially when it came to the Toledo Rockets, the Ohio State Buckeyes and his favorite Detroit teams. He enjoyed attending games, cheering on his teams and talking sports.

Tom was an avid collector and took great interest in the items he gathered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Wauneita Wood of Toledo.

He is survived by his brother, Michael (Kristina) Wood of Maumee; his nephew, Timothy (Lori) Wood of Pickerington, Ohio, and his niece, Sarah (Joshua) Rosenberger of Maumee, along with several greatnieces and great-nephews who will miss him.

Tom will be remembered for his steady presence and the things he loved most–his dogs, his teams and his family.
