Michael William Lyons, born January 4, 1944, died on November 25, 2025, after a two-month illness. Even though Mike was quite a fighter with his Irish wit, he now lays peacefully in the arms of Our Lord for eternity. The family is grateful for the staff at Toledo Hospital, Mercy Hospital of Perrysburg, Kingston Rehabilitation and St. Vincent’s Hospital for their care and kindness.

Mike was a devoted family man who loved to spend vacations relaxing with his family and friends in the sun on Anna Maria Island, Florida. He found joy in his gardens, had a lifelong passion for cars and took great pride in his Irish heritage.

Mike had 45 years experience in the Ohio Electrical Industry, involved in related fields of sales, distribution, manufacturing, purchasing and production control for northwest Ohio and Michigan companies. He worked closely with Surface Combustion, Keimle-Hankins, Hoffman Engineering, the Haley Company, INTEC Automation and Supply, as well as McAuliffe Sales until his retirement in 2014.

Michael was born in Toledo to Thomas and Helen (Murphy) Lyons. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH), St. Francis de Sales High School and the University of Toledo.

Michael is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice (Harris) and daughters, Bridget (Christopher) Taylor of Worthington, Ohio, and Sarah (Paul) Palmer of Findlay; grandchildren, Sydney and Abigail Taylor, Quin and Grace Palmer, and niece, Megan Lyons (Garrett) Miller. He also is survived by his brother, Thomas (Dianne) Lyons; cousin, Marilyn (Michael) Errington, and many sisters-inlaw, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and his beloved Goldendoodle, Riley. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, William J. Lyons.

Visitation will be held at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds, Toledo, on Wednesday, December 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, at 10 a.m. at Coyle Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
