Mary Ellen Hartman, 91, of Perrysburg, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Mary was born April 8,1934, in Toledo, to Victor and Florence (Underdown) Prange. She married Kenneth Hartman on July 16,1950 and they shared 64 years together until he passed on September 19, 2014.

Mary Ellen was a bus driver for Perrysburg Schools for more than 20 years. She also worked as a seamstress for a men’s clothing department and was a recess monitor for Elm Street School. Mary Ellen enjoyed painting, sewing, playing cards with friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Connie (Ray) Bricker, Karen (Calvin) Whitaker and Kenneth “Butch” (Sherry) Hartman; grandchildren, Karlyn (Jake) Swoap, Heather (Chris) Stadler, Katie (Michael) Turley, Shane Whitaker; great-grandchildren, Jessica (Bradley) Slee, Alec (Olivia) Swoap, Ty Swoap, Drew Swoap, Brianna Stadler, Tara Stadler, Riley Turley, Clare Turley, and great-great-grandchild, Charlie Swoap, and siblings, Larry Prange and Vicky Chamberlin. Along with her husband, Ken, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Colleen Fortress and Judith May, and brothers-inlaw, Kenneth May and Donald Fortress.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, at 11 a.m., at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg. Burial will be private at Toledo Memorial Park.
