Nancy I. Tamlyn, 78, of Perrysburg, passed away at home on Monday, April 28, 2025. Nancy was born Nancy I. Krueger on October 15, 1946, in Toledo, to Walter and Theodosia (Van Tassel) Krueger. She later became a 1964 graduate of Bowsher High School.
On January 6, 1968, she married Michael C. Tamlyn in Toledo. Nancy and Michael raised two children and celebrated more than 57 years of marriage together.
In addition to being a homemaker, looking after her two children and a husband, Nancy worked as a collection manager for what was First National Bank and later 5/3rd Bank, until she retired. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, serving on the Altar Guild. Nancy enjoyed reading, playing solitaire (which she never lost at), the beach and hosting the holiday get-togethers for family and friends at her home. Nancy had many joys in life, but it was her family, especially her grandchildren and attending their sporting events, that remained her greatest joy.
In addition to her husband, Michael C. Tamlyn Sr., Nancy is survived by her children, Michelle (Michael) Caufman of Perrysburg and Michael (Renee) Tamlyn II of Brooklyn, Michigan; grandchildren, Macy (Matthew) Banghart, Matthew Nordhaus, Madeline (Nathan) Bielskis, Kaitlyn Tamlyn and Michael Tamlyn III; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Clark and Cecilia; sisters, Mary Repass of Lebanon, Ohio, and Patty Sniegowski of Delta. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Shirley Manning.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. Nancy will be laid to rest at a family committal in Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
