LeRoy J. Lashaway, 90, of Perrysburg, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Perrysburg Township, with his family at his side. He was born on May 21, 1934, to Orville and Dorothy (Plotts) Lashaway. Following graduation from high school, LeRoy served his nation in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Barbara Ann Morlock on February 15, 1958, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge. LeRoy and Barbara were blessed with three sons and celebrated more than 66 years of marriage together before Barbara’s passing in October of 2024.
LeRoy worked as an electrician for Green Electric in Whitehouse. In 1966, he started working for H. Poll Electric Co. in Toledo. In 1969, he opened and managed the Findlay branch of H. Poll Electric until his retirement.
A man of faith, LeRoy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge. His other memberships include: Five Point Steam Threshers, National Threshers Association, North West Ohio Antique Machinery Association and the Boy Scouts of America Troop #259 in Perrysburg, where LeRoy served as a cub master and assistant scout master.
He enjoyed taking vacations with his family, going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Smoky Mountain National Park, walking hand in hand with Barbara along the beach and attending steam thresher shows with his family. LeRoy had many joys; however, it was spending time with his family that brought him the most happiness.
LeRoy is survived by his sons, Steven (Beth) Lashaway and James (Lydia) Lashaway, both of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Morgan (Ryan) Lenke, Drew (Sherri) Lashaway, Dana (Alessio) Giorgerini, and eight great-grandchildren. Family and friends were received on Monday, March 17, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 5520 Fremont Pike, Stony Ridge, between the times of 9:30 and 11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Officiating was Pastor Cindy Ritter. LeRoy was laid to rest next to Barbara in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, in Dowling, following the service in the church.
