Marshall J. Ducat, 95, of Perrysburg, passed away at Heritage Village of Waterville, on September 16, 2024. He was born on November 10, 1928, to Elmer Ducat and Fannie Amos. Marshall graduated from Bowling Green High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Marshall would go on to raise three children and eventually meet Connie Holnapy. They were married on October 19, 2001, and celebrated 23 years of marriage before his passing.
Marshall was a self-employed salesman throughout
his life, offering a variety of products, being active for more than 65 years. He found great joy in hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed shooting pool, watching classic westerns and watching DVDs he was able to get from the library. Another passion of Marshall’s was driving his scooter all around town. He loved driving out by the lake. Marshall was proud and honored to have been a participant of the annual memorial flight put on by the Flag City Memorial Flight program this year.
Left to cherish Marshall’s memory is his wife, Connie; stepdaughters, Brandy (Shain Mendoza) Karel and Jeannette Karel; step-grandchildren, Junior, Matt, Taylen, Jakob, Graysen and Gracie Mae. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and children, Roy, Billy and Amy.
A Celebration of Life, to be put on by the family, will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Freck Funeral Chapel.
