Members of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1983 are nearing the end of a cross-country trek that began at Whidbey Island, Washington, and concludes at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

The trip was the brainchild of a class member after the group’s 30th reunion, explained Dixon Smith, one of the trip organizers.
