PHS harp ensemble to hold free concert, January 25

The Perrysburg Schools harp ensemble, under the direction of Nancy Lendrim, will perform a free concert on Thursday, January 25, at 7 p.m., at Hull Prairie Intermediate School, 25480 Hull Prairie Road. The concert will feature selections the ensemble will perform at the OMEA professional development conference on Thursday, February 1, in Columbus. Twp. trustees approve special police patrol detail, discuss swatting incident

The Perrysburg Township trustees gave preliminary approval to a special police patrol and discussed a swatting incident that occurred recently. At the January 17 meeting, Police Chief Matt Gazarek said, with the rise in crime related to drug abuse, retail theft and counterfeit money, the department would like to formalize an agreement with the Rossford Police Department.

Downtown to host open house on January 31

Perrysburg will move forward with the downtown revitalization project. Residents are invited to learn more about the plan to enhance the appeal of the downtown area at an open house on Wednesday, January 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Schaller Memorial Building, 130 West Indiana Avenue.

Penta board of education receives update on Aspire and FCCLA trip

At the January 10 meeting, the Penta Career Center received updates on the Aspire program and a recent FCCLA conference and competition in Alabama. Ohio’s Aspire programs provide free services for individuals who need assistance acquiring the skills to be successful in post-secondary education and training and employment.
