Twp. trustees set hearing for Oregon Rd. development

At the February 21 meeting, the Perrysburg Township trustees set a public hearing for 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, to consider a request to rezone a parcel at Oregon and Ayers roads. The zoning commission recommended approval of the change submitted by Gulfstream Development.

On February 23, Perrysburg Mayor Tom Mackin was sworn in as the 2024 chair of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) board of trustees. Northwood Mayor Edward Schimmel will serve as vice chair.

Sheriff’s office rescues kidnap victim, arrests suspect

A routine traffic stop on Valentine’s Day turned into a heart-felt rescue for a woman and her family who had reported her missing. Wood County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle in Cygnet at 12:20 p.m. last Wednesday for a traffic violation.
