The Wood County Museum will host a meet-andgreet and book signing event with Kristina Smith and Kevin Moore, authors of “Unnatural Ohio” on Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m. Admission will be $7 per person, or free for museum members.

Zoar Lutheran Church will provide Kitchen of Hope free meals to the community. The program has served hot, home-cooked dinners for more than 15 years.

Area residents who love to shop are invited to the Cheap and Chic shoppers event at the Lamson’s building, 600 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo on Saturday, March 9. Shopping hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is $5.

As part of the First Thursday Luncheon Series on March 7, Michael Szuberla, of ProMedica’s grants department, will outline “10 Transformative Ideas for a Resilient 21st Century Toledo.” Mr. Szuberla has experience in the promotion of green infrastructure, environmental design and urban agriculture.

Way Public Library is hosting an exhibition of more than 60 pieces of art created by seventh and eighth grade students at Perrysburg Junior High School. Students from the art classes of Maura Amato and Virginia Vasey have created items in a variety of media for the display.

National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) is offering free training for health care workers who provide services to individuals living with mental illness. The training provides first-person perspective from individuals living in recovery and loved ones of individuals living with a mental health condition.
