Perrysburg seniors receive $10k scholarship

Three Perrysburg High School seniors, Shea Vaquera, Ian Crisenbery and Mackeane Hanley, were selected to receive $10,000 scholarships from Junior Achievement (JA) to attend the university of their choice. Through various events, including job shadowing experiences and professional skill-building programs, the students learned invaluable life skills that will prepare them to succeed beyond high school.

Revaluation values for 2023 open for inspection

Wood County Auditor Matthew Oestreich recently reported that the 2023 revaluation values have received state approval. Countywide residential properties have received an average increase of 24.3 percent. Ohio law requires that each county in the state conducts a reappraisal every six years. Generally in every third year following a revaluation a “triennial update” of values by neighborhood is mandated to better reflect the current market conditions. Wood County last conducted a countywide revaluation in 2017 and updated the values for the 2020 tax year.

Jack Schilb to ride with Slow Rollers Aug. 14

The public is invited to join the Perrysburg Slow Rollers on Monday, August 14, and enjoy the second performance of the season by Jack Schilb. Riders will meet in the Country Charm Shopping Center before biking the Bicentennial Park route at 7 p.m.

Perrysburg Twp. food distribution

The Perrysburg Township food distribution will be held Thursday, August 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. The township fire department will sponsor the food give-away at the township building, 26609 Lime City Road, the second Thursday of each month.
