The Wood County sheriff’s office received a 100 percent passage of the annual jail inspection. On August 29, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction inspected the jail.

The following individuals applied for marriage licenses with the Wood County Probate Court in August 2023. Jingwei Xiong and Jinyang Yao, both of Perrysburg.

The Ohio Office of Budget and Management has approved $1.1 million in funding for the Wood County Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system community project for the area. “As a strong supporter of public safety and first responders, I’m thrilled to have secured this funding to improve the efficiency of our response systems in order for our first responders to act more quickly when an emergency or a crisis is happening within our communities,” said State Representative Haraz Ghanbari.

The Perrysburg Township food distribution will be held Thursday, September 14, from 8 to 10 a.m. The township fire department will sponsor the food give-away at the township building, 26609 Lime City Road, the second Thursday of each month.

A rare event will occur in Perrysburg this month when 30 members of the Class of 1983 from the U.S. Naval Academy travel through the city on a ride from Washington state to Annapolis, Maryland, for their 40th reunion.

The Kitchen of Hope will resume its monthly lunch and birthday celebration, at noon on Friday, September 22, at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg. There will be bingo and prizes.

Perrysburg Christians United (PCU) will host a blood drive on Friday, September 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Zoar Lutheran Church. Donors must be minimally 17 years of age, 110 pounds and in general good health.
