St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church to host Stations of the Cross artwork by local artists
Jesus Falls a First Time, created by artist Jennifer Balogh, is a 12-inch square mixed-media piece with black light paints, black marker and photography. Below, The Cross Is Laid on Simon of Cyrene is a 12inch square mixed media with photography on transparency, silkscreen and watercolor by artist Rob Vanitvelt.
Praying the Stations of the Cross is a common Christian practice during the six weeks of Lent, a time of contemplation before Easter. To that end, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church of Perrysburg, 871 Boundary Street, invited nine Toledo-area artists to create artwork for the Stations, which will be on display in the parish hall starting on Ash Wednesday, February 18 through Easter Sunday, April 5.
