Members of the Toledo Sail and Power Squadron, attended the 13th “Winter Rendezvous” in South Haven, Michigan. The group of 22 stayed at the Carriage House at the Harbor, a Victorian bed and breakfast, providing a cozy venue. The weekend included gourmet breakfasts, cocktail parties and dinners at local restaurants. Side trips to neighboring West Michigan resort towns such as Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Holland and Saugatuck provided hours of exploration, shopping and entertainment. The get together is held as a kick off for the upcoming boating season. Members can now look forward to various summer rendezvous to be held May through September. The squadron promotes safe boating practices, and teaches classes to locals, to prepare them for traveling on the water. A tradition at the Carriage House is to take a group photo of guests wearing the comfy robes provided by the bed and breakfast.
