Suzanne Spencer Jurgens, 79, of Perrysburg, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Suzy was born May 15, 1943, in Salem, Oregon, to Seaver and Juanita (Miller) Spencer. She married Norman Jurgens in 1971, and was married for 35 years.

Suzy’s father was a colonel in the U.S. Army and grew up in a military family. She lived in the United States, Japan and Germany. She graduated from high school in Germany. She was proud of her military background.

She worked in various accounting positions, retiring as an account manager from Huntington insurance. Suzy was an avid bridge player, seamstress, craft maker and traveler. She adored her granddaughters, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenifer J. (Ryan) Michaels, and granddaughters, Shelby and Sydney. Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, Norman, and sister, Dianne Stump.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, June 8, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, 601 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg, where a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be private in Waco, Texas.

Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg.

Memorial donations may be made in Suzy’s name to Hospice of NW Ohio Perrysburg Center, Wood Co Humane Society or Veterans of Foreign Wars.
