Andy passed away peacefully in Missoula, Montana, with family by his side. Andy was born and raised in Perrysburg, Ohio, and graduated from the high school there in 1974, where he wrestled and played baseball. Andy served in the U.S. Army for two years, and was stationed in West Germany, where he patrolled the Berlin Wall. After returning to Ohio, he married Cynthia “Cyndie” Whitner in 1977, and they raised three sons in Rossford.

Andy could be seen for years waving a Bulldog flag at Rossford football games and coaching the junior high wrestling team. He loved the outdoors and moved to Montana in 2009, where he spent his final years exploring its mountains, forests and rivers.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose; and his sister, Kathryn Brady. Surviving are his sons, Aaron, Marc and Paul; grandchildren, Allison, Amna, Clark, Samantha and Cameron; siblings, Rebecca Dorn, Robert and Jenni Hahn; and numerous beloved cousins, nephews and nieces from the Curtis, Dorn, Hicks, Boney, Hahn, Richards, Whitner and Crane families.

Andy’s motto was to, “Be Happy, Try Hard and Be Good to Other People,” and the family encourages any memorials be sent to the NAACP Toledo branch.
