Janet Rae (Barber) Armbruster, 93, was called home to her Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the Kingston Residence in Perrysburg. She was born January 24, 1928, to Chester and Ruth (Miller) Barber. In addition to her parents, Jan is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Sherman (Coltrain).

Jan was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and devoted many years to teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing children. She was a talented photographer and enjoyed sharing her view of the world through her imagery. Jan was an active member of CedarCreek Church and was a mentor and leader in numerous groups within the church. She enjoyed meeting new people, building relationships and sharing God’s love through fellowship. Jan loved spending time with her family and friends, knitting, and camping on Manitoulin Island.

Jan is survived by her husband of 69 years, James Arthur “Jim” and their three children: son, Brad (Debbie); son, Mike (Kim), and daughter, Jamie. “Gramma Jan” also leaves behind six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be scheduled in the near future.
