Henry “Hank” Edward Duncan, 81, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2021. He was born January 7, 1940.

Hank was a loving husband, father and Papa. He worked with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in various capacities for more than 55 years. He started as a tire buster, changing tires, and ultimately embraced his natural-born talent in sales as he progressed through roles from sales manager to regional sales manager to district sales manager. When the Goodyear wholesale center in Columbus, Ohio, closed, Hank moved his family in 1981 to work for Capital Tire in Toledo. He retired at age 72 with the nickname, The Legend. Hank was one of Capital Tire’s top sales managers. He also imagined and then built a delivery system, often getting up at 4 a.m. to drive a truck himself to keep his promise to customers.

Hank served in Korea during 1965-67 in Battery B, 1st Battalion, 31st Artillery, 7th Infantry Division, patrolling the DMZ. He also served as rocket assembly specialist, supply clerk, and battery supply sergeant, ensuring that all supplies were on hand and in proper shape. He received the Army commendation medal for meritorious service.

Hank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Penny; his children, Matthew E. (Elizabeth) Duncan, Nikki D. (Cory) Pampalone and Rebecca M. (Kenny) Pace, and grandchildren, Emma Pace and Jane Pace. His highest purpose was trusting God, providing for his family and allowing them to pursue their dreams and experience the best in life. His example of hard work, dedication to family and faith will live on through his family.

Services for Hank will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874- 3133).

Memorial contributions may be made in Hank’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Condolences may be made online to the family at walker funeralhomes.com.
