Betty Lou Orendorff, 87, a long-time resident of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022, in Canton, Georgia. Betty was born in Escanaba, Michigan, the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther Gehrman.

Betty is survived by her sons, Thomas Gemuenden (Linda) of Warren, Ohio, and John Gemuenden (Deborah) of Canton, Georgia; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Barbara Johnson (Norm) of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Shirley Peterson of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Orendorff; sons, James Gemuenden Jr. and Michael Gemuenden.

She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters, breakfast out with her devoted neighbors, and doing arts and crafts. She was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield, and worked many years at the Fort Meigs YMCA.

A memorial service will be held at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home in Perrysburg, Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m., with a private burial in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
