White trillium is the official native plant of Ohio, and an icon of the spring woods. It can be found in wooded areas of Pearson, Swan Creek, Secor and other Metroparks.
Metroparks Toledo is teaming up with other local organizations to make available native plants for sale as part of the Green Ribbon Initiative’s annual Blue Week, a celebration of the Oak Openings.
Wildflowers, grasses and shrubs will be available at the Blue Creek nursery, Saturday, May 20, from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to noon.
