It’s not every day that a milestone can be celebrated, but that day has come for Perrysburg Township which is about to turn 200.

Formed May 8, 1823, on land once owned by the Spafford family, the township has seen many changes over two centuries. Gone are the days of the Great Black Swamp and horse and buggy; replaced with a drainage system and paved roads that support modern development.
