    After 50 years of serving at Way Public Library, fiscal officer Karen Brigode will retire June 30.

    Coming up through the ranks, the Perrysburg native also has worked as a page, circulation clerk and clerktreasurer.

    Ms. Brigode’s one word to describe her 50 years at Way Library is “awesome.”

    A retirement reception for her will take place from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, June 24, and the public is invited.
