Joyce Rosenlund, 81, formerly of Perrysburg, passed away May 15, 2022, in Clearwater, Florida. She was born September 23, 1940, in Vineland, New Jersey, to David and Marjorie (Downs) Dargan.
Joyce graduated from Devilbiss High School in 1958 and married her high school sweetheart, Richard Rosenlund, in 1961. She then worked several years in the trucking industry for various companies, including R & L.
Joyce was known as a social butterfly. She was very involved in her church, Perrysburg Alliance, where she was a charter member, sang in the choir and worked on the finance committee for many years. Joyce and Dick maintained a long list of lifetime friends, some dating back to grade school. They were in various bridge and Tripoli groups, and Joyce often enjoyed her time with the ‘Chick Clique.’ However, there was nothing she loved more than her family. Joyce and Dick would spend Novembers at Limetree Beach resort with their kids and grandkids, who affectionally called her ‘'Mormor’ or ‘Farmor.’
After a long battle with her inability to speak, she is now singing with the angels in Heaven with those family and friends who have been waiting for her arrival.
Other than her husband, she is survived by her son, Todd Rosenlund (Dawn); daughter, Tara Lyden (Breen); granddaughters Evelyn Tammarine and Holly Rosenlund; grandsons, Troy Rosenlund, Patrick Lyden (Dedra) and Sean Lyden (Claire), as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, David Dargan (Sharon), and brother-in-law, Donald Rosenlund. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, 11 a.m., at Perrysburg Alliance Church, with Jim McWhinnie officiating.
Memorials may be made to Perrysburg Alliance Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
